Kent & Amy - July 7, 2012

Where to begin? When Amy first contacted me about potentially shooting her and Kent's wedding, I knew I would be 8 months along in my pregnancy when their wedding date rolled around. I did not know, however, that it would be the hottest day on record in the past 141 years in the DC area... Equipped with a cooler of ice, Gatorade, an ice cold spritzer bottle and comfy attire, I was pumped and ready to go. The happy couple and their families were good sports, despite being so uncomfortable in the heat. We moved quickly and I made the best use of all my tricks!

Despite it being their day, Kent and Amy were so accomidating and checked in with me often, to make sure baby and I were okay. It's always amazing when couples are appreciative of the work you do, but even moreso when they express their appreciation for your going above and beyond - 8 months pregnant in 110 degree heat? Well, I don't like to toot my own horn, but I thought that was pretty special =)

Congratulations to the happy couple! Here are some of my favorite images from their special, toasty day!
